If you don’t pay, you don’t pay attention

Or how to stop attracting hostile freebie seekers.

Let me ask you this.

How many times did you get something for free or very cheap… and then you never even opened it or used it at all?

How about all the times you agreed to do something for free or very cheap… just to find yourself unappreciated? Or worse, those freebie seekers came back feeling entitled, over demanding, criticising you, complaining all the time?

You see, I’m more and more convinced that the Big Rule of the Universe is: You get what you pay for. Or in other words – If you don’t pay, you don’t pay attention. (I think it’s Joe Polish who use to say this.)

But here’s the hidden meaning of that rule… (This is like onions. It goes many layers deep.)

You can’t expect people to willingly pay you what you think you’re worth when you have your own resistance about paying people for the value they provide to you. You get what you pay for.

Something to ponder on.
